Voice Dialogue Introduction What is Voice Dialogue? With its roots in Jungian and Gestalt psychology, Voice Dialogue, created in the 1980's by Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone, is an experiential modality compatible with many theoretical orientations. It is a model of consciousness incorporating the Psychology of the Selves, and the Aware Ego. The technique involves learning to identify primary and disowned selves, understanding how the selves develop and evolve in the personality, and incorporating the dynamics of the energy systems fueling the selves. Voice Dialogue is a tool that is compatible with a wide range of healing and creative modalities. Conventional psychological diagnosis and treatment can be translated in terms of Voice Dialogue faciltation, enabling the therapist to support early diagnosis, to quickly identify underlying psychodynamic issues, minimize transference and dependency, work with resistance without a power struggle, and enhance and accelerate insight, self acceptance and personal growth. This course is designed for therapists, coaches, mental health professionals, teachers and anyone interested in working with people to effect mental, and emotional healing. This course is taught through didactic presentations of theory, demonstrations, and supervised practice. Each participant will learn the ground rules and principles of this work, initiate their own "Aware Ego" process in relation to their inner selves, and begin to master their own personal energetic expression. Each of the workshops will begin with a warm-up, which might be a classical theater game, or dance/movement exercise.
