Dassie Hoffman, Ph.D., L.C.A.T, BC-DMT, has a degree in Humanistic psychology,
is a New York State licensed Dance/Movement therapist, and is a senior staff member
of the Voice Dialogue
International. She maintains a private practice in New York City at
the New York Voice Dialogue Institute. She has specialized in combining
Voice Dialogue with dance/movement, and her article, "Integrating
Movement into a Voice Dialogue Session" was published in 1995.
She has taught Voice Dialogue since 1987, and served as the resident Dance
therapist at the Voice Dialogue "Summer Kamps" for seven summers.
Her special Women's Workshops have become renowned, and were written up
in The Village Voice in 1999.
Dassie has traveled throughout the United States presenting these innovative
workshops, and assisting Drs. Hal and Sidra Stone at their week-long training
sessions in Albion, California. Dassie received her doctorate from Saybrook
Graduate School in 2002. Her dissertation, "Connections
and Parallels between the development of Humanistic Psychology and Modern
Dance at Jacob's Pillow," was published in 2004 by
The Edwin Mellen Press.
Dassie will again be teaching Voice Dialogue
for Mental Health Professionals in 2011-2012.

The Voice Dialogue Anthology: Explorations of The Psychology of Selves & The Aware Ego Process, edited by Dassie Hoffman, PhD, is now scheduled to be published in early 2012. This book contains articles by 20 Voice Dialogue teachers from around the world, and will prove to be an important addition to the Voice Dialogue literature. The book will be available through the bookshop page on www.voicedialogue.org.
Also coming in 2012 is the new CD, "Dancing With the Selves," with music composed and recorded by Jay Cavallaro. This CD will include liner notes to explaine how this CD is to be used by VD practitioners. The CD will offer all Voice Dialogue teachers and students the ability to use the pioneering work of Dassie Hoffman.
